The IIAS Annual Conference is the flagship event of the IIAS body. It is organized every year in different regions of the world. It lasts one week and consists of three parts: The Pre-Congress Workshops and the Council of Administration meeting (1 day), allowing IIAS members and partners to share their agenda with participants: The Congress as such (3 days), consisting of plenary and parallel sessions; The social program (1 day)

The organization of an annual IASIA conferences project consisting of several elements (scientific preparation – mobilization of network – logistical organization). It is held in a different region each year to facilitate the participation of individuals from each of the seven regions of IASIA hence making the Association more accessible to affiliates of its member organizations. The conference brings together practitioners, academics Ph.D. students, young researchers in public administration and management, and contributors from any other discipline who exchange on a chosen theme. The theme selected for the conference is a significant concern for public administration and management.

The EGPA Annual Conference is at the core of the EGPA activities. The EGPA Conference is hosted each year in a different European Country. On this occasion, the EGPA PhD Symposium and the EGPA Study Groups organize sessions. The French-speaking Seminar also convene during the Conference. Additional thematic panels are organized by EGPA members and Partners.

LAGPA organizes an annual Conference in a roundtable meeting format to foster comparative studies and discuss topics of common interest. It promotes the interaction of specific issues of good governance and public administration practices with academics and practitioners of the region.

Established in 2005 under the EGPA strategic plan 2004-07, the Transatlantic Dialogues (TADs) is a series of conferences that was initiated to address contemporary issues and challenges in public governance, public administration and public management arising from both sides of the Atlantic and to gather academics and practitioners around the joint investigation of key topics through comparative methods and approaches. The main purpose of TADs is to bridge the two scholarly communities – American and European – and the respective traditions of research and cognitive paths in such a way that new syntheses may arise. The series is nowadays a mainstay in public administration: it has become an “institutional venue for the entire field of pule administration, not just in Europe and the US, but worldwide.”

The idea of a European Administrative Space has been developed and used to describe a common core of shared values, principles and administrative capacities that is expected of and assumed for European administrations. The Trans-European Dialogue (TED) is a scholarly conference organized jointly by the two key professional associations of Public Administration in Europe. As two main professional organizations in the field of Public Administration, EGPA and the Network of institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) were natural addressees of such discussions. They have been committed to make their contribution to understanding, creating and institutionalizing the European Administrative Space.

The Euro-MENA Dialogue is a conference resulting from the strong collaboration between the EGPA and the MENAPAR, aiming to bring together diverse public bodies, scholars and practitioners, research institutions and private corporations to participate and network for the benefits of knowledge exchange, and sharing lessons from practices across and between European and MENA/Arab countries as well as to reach a better understanding of the histories of both regions as they relate to public administration. This conference aims to strengthen cooperation between European and MENA academics and practitioners.
